Hefner, Irma Ruth (Boyd) A service to celebrate the life of Irma Hefner, 85, is scheduled for Friday, September 30th at 3:00 p.m. at Mayfair Church of Christ. She stepped into the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.  She was born on February 18, 1931, to Eula Lee “Pebbie” and Jimmie Boyd in Tipton, OK.  Irma graduated from Tipton High School in 1949.  She attended Abilene Christian College and majored in Home Economics.  On June 22, 1952, she married the love of her life, Kenneth L. Hefner.  Together, they raised five happy and healthy children.  She was a faithful Christian, a dedicated member of Mayfair Church of Christ, and a small group leader in Bible Study Fellowship.  Irma loved her family and put the needs of her children before her own. She was involved in many of her children’s activities. Ken and Irma were instrumental in starting girls' softball leagues in Oklahoma City.  She was passionate about golf, never giving up...
