Got A Guard?

2010 Version!
Jason has been very busy working on these for the team this year. We did around 30 total last year, and this year will be right at 80!!! Guess the trainers and players really did like the unique materials, high-quality, and total awesomeness (!!) of these!

They make me smile every time I see a player smile or see a picture in the newspaper!

Way to go, Dr. J!

Jasmine Moran

We went to the Jasmine Moran museum in Seminole last Friday morning. By getting up early, we were able to beat some of the buses and buses (did I mention buses?) of daycares that showed up later in the day. My parents had taken Grant last summer and Mom joined us (and even treated!) for this adventure, too. The boys were at a great age for most of the stuff, although there is a lot of science stuff that would be better suited for older elementary kids.

We took nearly 100 pictures this day! These may not be the best, but they were shots of what the boys enjoyed the most.

The actual airplane cockpit. They had a blast messing with the zillions of controls. Grant remembers that his Bubba (my dad) used to fly airplanes so he was talking about that, and then Kyle is so into anything related to engines and steering wheels so they were both in heaven here!
Here's the television studio! They had a riot seeing themselves on TV (so did I!).

Archaeologists (or is it paleontologist?) uncovering a buried dinosaur!!! Roarrrr!
Hands down, by far, the favorite area for both (new since Grant's last visit apparently):
The red sports car! You could do a variety of things in the engine, totally change tires, get under the car and change the muffler (and something else!), etc, etc, etc.... we were in this area probably 45 minutes total the entire day.

There is also a huge indoor climbing slide, water works area, grocery store, dentist office, courtroom, construction site, doctors office and real ambulance they can get in to, meteorology area, baby nursery, outdoor train ride and stations, a huge outdoor maze (Grant figured it out - I got lost!!!!), and other interactive stations.
If you need a day in the cool, go visit!

Three pics

Earlier this month, when Jason left for work, he noticed our stairway light and playroom light were on so he walked over to check. This is what he found at 6:30 a.m. Kyle apparently didn't want to spend the entire night in his own bedroom but was thoughtful enough to not disturb us... so he stayed in the middle, managing to grab a few toys on the way! :)

Just two cute shots from bathtime!

ouchie!

and in case you haven't heard, Jason fractured at least one - he thinks two based on his areas of pain- ribs in our co-ed softball game the other night! He called his friend that is OSU's head trainer and he had J do some tests on his rib area.....Ouch!!!!! He's a trooper!

a few vacation pics

A slice of heaven on earth.... that's what Jason and I think of Fair Hills. And, now, we can't get the kids to be quiet about it, too!! Here are just a few quick ones of our time in Minnesota over the 4th.

This is the deck of our cabin on the night of the staff show - Hootenanny! There are about seven families that meet nightly for Happy Hour right before the dinner bell rings for the dining hall. :) yes, it's that kind of place!
Here's the infamous water slide pics - Jason held the record AGAIN for traveling the furthest off of the slide after hitting the grass. He's got his form down perfect.
Taking Kyle down....
Jason's new BFF - little chipmunk that would come to eat food from us during happy hour.
Lots of fun stuff to do in the lake - this year, both boys jumped off the floating dock AND the 15 foot tower! Here is Kyle...

Wheeeee goes Grant!

On the 4th of July, we all wore matching Life is Good t-shirts. Last year, our little foursome wore Eskimo Joes. During this week, it's a time for a lot of families from across the country to have a reunion/vacation together - several families make shirts for their families.

Jason and I like this picture of Grant - just taking it easy! This was right when we got there, and our cabin wasn't ready yet (made really good time!). We played tennis and in the lake before even unpacking.

Same time as the above picture... Kyle would have NOTHING to do with the seaweed (and there isn't really that much) touching his feet. He finally gave in, and went out a little further where there was no seaweed, and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Our friend, Corey, playing his ukelele during Happy Hour on our deck (their cabin was next door).

Just getting there and already chilling.....

There is an old fashioned soda fountain here. This was after the Hootenanny. It's Molly, our Matron of Honor from our wedding, and two of her three gals. Her sister, Carrie, who was also in our wedding, brought her three boys, too!

--------------------------------------------------
just throwing this one in to show how clean and tidy Grant tries to stay during t-ball games! :)

sorry folks!

I am just having a lack of motivation on 1) finding stuff I want to blog about and 2) putting forth the effort of uploading, editing and picking photos to post on here right now! Sorry for the lack of posts this July! I'm playing with my kids instead of piddling on the computer during the day, and then watching TV or playing softball or talking with J or sleeping at night!
