Grant is 11!

Nana, GG, Bubba, and Madison came to visit the birthday boy!

Grandparents!

Grant asked to go bowling with a few friends, then out to eat, and then back to our house to play games.  Grant, Gus, William, Kyle and Kush

We made s'mores, too!

It's such a shame we didn't take photos of our new game! We had a lot of fun creating a type of capture the flag game. I had bought glow necklaces for some random reason, and between Jason and me, we came up with a fun game. Kept them entertained outside for more than an hour! Great fun.

We love you, Grant, and are so proud of the young man you are developing in to every day!

Angel Fire 2016

This was our third year to pack up the family car and head to New Mexico for skiing! The extra exciting part of this year's trip was that Reiders was able to join us! He was so excited to go skiing, although we really don't think he knew what it meant!

Can you see his excitement in this pic? hands up and thrilled!

As we were taking the above pictures, a really nice mom pulled up behind us and said that one mile down the road was the "Three Corners" marker where OK, TX and NM met. We had to hop a fence but we found it!

Following the lead of his 4th grade teacher who did a pushup at the Four Corners, Grant chose to do a pushup - hands in Texas, and a foot in the other states.

We knew it had been a warm few weeks at Angel Fire. As we rounded the corner by the neighboring town, and saw the slopes, we were a bit in doubt as to the quality of snow. This was solid white last year, and you couldn't even make out the slopes.

First day! Dropping of Reid at Ski School!

It was Veteran's Weekend - a flag procession down the hill before the lifts opened.

Peeping in at Ski School - he's on the right.

Picking up after his first day! He seemed excited!

This was actually a really happy, excited silly face!  I know he looks terrified!

Grant and Kyle both did great this year.  We really saw improvement in Grant's skiing ability. Kyle had a fall that put some doubt in his head for a little while.  It was fun for the four of us to spend so much time together.

Sunday was clear and beautiful.

After the second day at school, we grabbed Reid so he could show off a little bit (but mostly for a brother photo!)

The boys shared a king bed, and they were OUT the last night!

partner workout

Bootcamp invited husbands (and friends!) to join in the week of Valentines for a partner challenge! Jason went and I think he had a lot of fun doing some of the stuff our class does weekly!
He was also sore!  :)

Waits Ranch

The boys and I were able to spend about 6 hours today with our friends at their ranch.  They have 980 acres just 10 miles away. The kids (and moms) had so much fun!

Where are their feet?!?  COVERED IN GOO! Smiling kids!

We had to cross the river!

And another time!

Their property is home to an old, old schoolhouse (now a pile of stone) and pieces of a cool, old truck.

The Badiyans, Waits, Coils and Walkers represented!

It was a fun time shared with friends.  All of the kids were able to drive the gator which was super fun!
The sweet pre-k kids were able to have a musical share at assembly. It was about as cute as you can imagine (imagine as a third time mom and not as a first time mom).

Reid's table at his class party!

Kyle's turn!

My favorite third grade class!

Our treats for all three parties!  Mom stepped in and helped make half for me!
My friend watched Reid while I worked last week. Their family is so fun because they celebrate all the "little holidays" that are merely pre-printed on calendars, like Mardi Gras!  Not sure he wanted to come home this day!
