oldies - Hall family

Love these! This is Christmas morning - Santa gave us these trays.

This is at Ken and Granny's house. Like the bowl haircut?

Blood Moon

The boys chose 101 Dalmations for movie night! Somehow - luckily - they all ended up cuddling with me on the couch!

A little later that night was the "blood moon" eclipse.  Jason was snoring by 8:30 from his weekend in Austin.  I grabbed Grant and Kyle out of bed to show them. Grant wasn't very interested but Kyle stayed up with me.

The last time it happened I was 2 years old. The next time will be 2033!

This series of photos was taken by one of my friend's sons. How cool!

one I saw on facebook from the Dallas skyline of the whole process

OSU game / Art / Bootcamp

Grant was able to go to the last home game with his friend, Mason. They had a lot of fun sporting some goofy glasses!

This is Reid heading to the football game... ball of energy!

Jack and Clay came to visit Reid. Their daddy is one of OSU's coaches.

These are my bootcamp friends.

Reid had an artistic streak for a few weeks. He wanted to color and paint a lot - very fun and special as our three boys received our creativity genes - nada.

Game Day pics AND RICKIE FOWLER!

It's football season!  For my four boys, this equals excitement and fun!

OSU alum RICKIE FOWLER was in the parking lot as we were walking to a tailgate!  He was so gracious to allow our boys to take a photo with him...
Way to represent being a classy Cowboy!

We actually went to a tailgate - for our friend's work - and had our first photo taken with Will and Rachelle.

This photo was taken by Party Pics. We decided to go ahead and buy the download as we all look pretty good!  It's a keeper!

This was the best picture of them we could get - they didn't really want to pose for their parents during the football game this year!

Chase and Madison!

Let's go, Pokes! Hopefully our season is heading up!
These two have been sneaky lately - creeping in to bed with one another on school nights.  They were too cute this night to move Reid back to his bed.  I love that they love each other.
P.S. - Thank you, Grant, for not breaking the rules!

at our downtown Fridays and Food Trucks - saw Kyle's classmates and friends - he didn't want to touch "the girls" for a pic!

self-drawn kitty cat whiskers. He then meowed for several minutes.

last several weeks...

our house has become the hangout for some kiddos who ride the bus!  Bryson and Jake came over one day!

one of my happy places... a good volleyball match!  This happened to be our town playing against my Junior Olympic team coach!

Kyle had a scrimmage with the A's two weeks ago. Jason took him out after the game.  He was SO HUNGRY and ordered two extra sides... both of macaroni...

and ate every bite!  :)

We visited Top Golf.
We had a long wait and a broken computer so they comped our games. It was a great idea and fun concept, but I think it would have been more enjoyable with a few more adults and a few less children.

the 'ol Sienna.  We sold her on Monday and bought an Odyssey!  She was ten years old and was a great car for us!  We bought it when we only had Grant - who knew we'd have two more little baby boys to fill 'er up!  Jason had kinda gotten to the point he was embarrassed of how many scratches and dings his wife was driving around in... more so than I did by far!

JW's first smoked brisket! It was tasty! Thanks to Uncle Wayne for giving him a little smoker - he was a happy guy this night!

I'm not really sure....

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee transformers have entered Stillwater permanently! A local body shop with two locations has put one at each site.  How fun is this!!!

Reid's first school assembly as a student!

a selfie from the bus with Maxwell!

White Sox at Royals MLB!

We had a very spontaneous trip yesterday!  Saturday night about 5:00, Jason said "the Royals play at home tomorrow at 1:10. Let's go!"  I smiled and said "okay!"  Little did I realize he was very serious.  :)  We left at 6:40 a.m. - waking the boys up and not telling them what we were doing.  I picked out the blue outfits and we were off!

Sunrise!

The Chiefs stadium is right next door to the Royals. Pretty cool planning.

Great seats.  Row 6 and 7 - set of 3 and 2 - both on the aisle!

It was HOT!!! That was the only downfall to such great seats - we had zero shade until the 9th inning!  Reid did a pretty good job of behaving but he was getting restless toward the end. Grant and Kyle loved the whole event!

Jason caught a foul ball!!!
Before we left Stillwater, we talked about getting all of the gloves "for fun" and "in case."  As we left the truck, Jason asked if I wanted one, and I said "no, you can save me!" totally not thinking he'd actually get the chance to be my hero!  :)
Top of the 4th inning, there was a hit... and it was coming our way... then REALLY coming our way... RIGHT TO ME!  Jason casually stood up, and leaned over me (as I was surely crouched up by this point) and POP - caught it!
It was fan-freaking-tastic.
He had recorded the game on our DVR - we watched when we got home but it didn't show his amazing skills.  Darn.

this was said though:

We asked a friend where to eat and ended up at an "authentic" BBQ joint in KC.  We got there within five minutes of having a huge wait but ours wasn't too bad.  The food was great!

on the way home, Reid AND Kyle had bloody noses.  Always an adventure when traveling with kids!

It was bobble-head day at the ballpark so we now have three new "treasures" to adorn our bedroom countertops.

Such a long day, we caught the sunset on the drive home!

Reid finally feel asleep on Highway 51 within ten minutes of our house.

We've now been to a Rangers, Cardinals and Royals game (I was able to visit Rockies in my teens).  We all voted the Cardinals have the best set up and fans of those three teams.  Rangers next and probably Royals as our least favorite atmosphere!  In case you cared... :)

We're ended our long weekend with a joint family cookout in a little bit!
Happy Labor day!
