Volleygirls win! And Kyle...

Volleygirls took it to the court tonight!  We ended the season 8-0, and only dropping 2 games (for those who don't know, you win a match by winning best 2 of 3 games).  We have only had 5 players all season and tonight, for the Ride or Die, there were just 4 of us.  We were tuckered out but managed to get it.  Fun to be back after being off the past THREE seasons of playing with them.

And, then, on my way home to had to get gas and Hancock pulls in 10 seconds after me.  Pure Jesus aligning that visit just right!

This was the quality spring school picture of Kyle... he's a keeper!

Update!

8th grade basketball photo

Here's my favorite dog.  I have a snack - he's begging.  The paw. So cute when he does it.

He finally gave up begging and just wanted to cuddle.

Because Kyle needs to be embarrassed - I like to draw pictures on his lunch sacks for track meets.

Grant has a lot on his plate right now, including 2 full weekends spent training for his summer job.  He didn't pass the first time for this test and then killed it the 2nd time around (only get 2 chances!).

Speaking of killing in... this kid in track!

Reid started his 9U season last week.  We are on this team because it isn't year-round baseball.  Basically March - June.  After the first tournament, we're kinda wishing they had a few more weeks of practice (learning to pitch is tough!) but then again, not really... He was the first pitcher for his team's season.  He got the first batter out and then the next 4 were walked.  Lots of room for improvement but he is having fun!

Tucker is our only buddy on the team so it is a different vibe from Yard Goats!

Grant playing against my alma mater!

Paul turned 70 and we had a party at Hideaway!

grinding out the free throws...

Kyle and I had a full Saturday starting with a 9am basketball game in Edmond.  Nana joined!

He and I then went to Mustang for the 10:30 am track meet. It lasted until 4:30.
It was one of the more fun sporting events I've been to in a while - I could be a track mom. It was so very cold though...

Kyle runs three events - 110m hurdles (least favorite), 4x200 relay and 300m hurdles. He ended up 4th in the 110m hurdles after all of the heats (got 3rd in his heat).

He is the first leg of the 4x200.  Hands off to Elijah Prentice who handed off to Jack Halley who handed off to Trey Long.  They got 1st - AGAIN - and apparently are killing it.  This is my first meet to go to but several parents mentioned how fast that group of boys is for that event.

Kudos to the runner from Deer Creek who smoked Kyle.  Kyle gutted it out at the end to overcome the other boy to take 2nd in the 300m hurdles.  Kyle and 3rd place were so far ahead of the other runners that they don't even appear in the pictures. The Deer Creek dude was fast...

Easter 2021

Easter 2021!
I never would have thought it would be such a joy to be gathered with others to hunt Easter eggs.  After 2020 events being cancelled, it was so great for our church to be together for a picnic and hunt.

Morgan, Izzy, Henry and Reid

Lots of eggs!

Easter Sunday!  They do clean up pretty nicely!

Cousins!  It has been since Christmas 2019 that all ten of us were together!

Reid and Jacob (Stacy and Jason) hid the eggs for Grant and Kyle to find.  I'm still not sure they found them all as I write the the Monday after Easter.

Track, bball and dental office

Reid and Kyle went fishing - looks like they can only improve on their prizes as the summer goes along!  :)  Ha!

When you are sitting in a parking lot and your kid pulls in next door.... makes me smile!

Sporting his Mugsy's shirt at FFA!

Kyle started his "summer league" games this weekend. WOW.  He has grown and become more assertive and strong - this kid looked like he knew what he was doing (finally!) on the court.  It was a great time watching him be the leader of the team.

Reid and I went to a game by ourselves and then we found Bubba!  Reid and I were at the entire thing - first time this season and he FINALLY caught a foul tip!

Here's where we stand on the new lobby!  Next step is electrical then sheet rock and the fun stuff!

One of the new ops.

Kyle had his first track meet last week.  He is running the 4x100 relay and then hurdles.  He fell on the hurdles (I WISH I had that video!) and their relay placed 1st.

4th graders at the OSU baseball game - they have so much fun together.

Pray every day for this for yourself and for your family.

My snuggle buddy!  Everywhere I go, he goes...

Kyle and his bubbles.

Grant is the best....

My new favorite meal...
