36!

Jason Dean turned 36 yesterday!
We celebrated by letting him sleep until 10:30 (except for the breakfast-in-bed bowl of Life cereal from Kyle at 7:30) and making a trip to Frontier City.

It was so fun!

Jason MADE me do this.  He used the "it's my birthday so you have to" con-artist line.  I HATE heights the more "mature" I become... but, yes, I am so glad to have said I have done the Geronimo ride of free falling 10 stories.  Oh Joy.

That's Grant and Kyle.
They went together and then Jason and I went together.
I could never have done it without his arm to hold on to (really, really tightly even though it was also free-falling really fast with me).

The big three boys took off to do a roller coaster and I took Reiders to the kid area. He loved paddling his own canoe (kind of).

these four almost always take a fantastic picture

Jason made us take a selfie birthday family photo.
I look so pale with the sun shining just like so...

only kids on the kid coaster
Grant and Reid in front; Kyle in the very back.

These two don't look so sure about it....

Cake!

Happy birthday, love!  So happy to get to celebrate another one with you!

Grrrr.....  :)

This was the best angle I could get - what you're looking at is Grant pitching to one of his besties, Mason, at the plate!  Fun...

spring pictures

Reiders and his buddies playing dress up at their house!
They can entertain for hours with costumes.

Thought I'd throw out this picture, too. It's not bragging - just a proud teammate (and she also wants her boys to know that she rocks at something other than making PB&J's, shooting at HORSE and doing "baseball catch" on the driveway).

Until this afternoon, this is how radar has been around our town.
See the blue dot?  That's us.  See the open space with no rain? That's what our street has gotten this spring - nada.  N, S, E and W has gotten rain but it has missed our few square miles around here.
BUT TODAY WAS WONDERFUL!

Remember the Ten

The Remember the Ten run was yesterday.  It was our first year to participate.  Jason, Kyle and I signed up this year as Grant had a tournament that same day and we didn't want him too tired.

with Hilton and Ella

and Sam

and Karen.  She is the wife of one of the Ten, Will Hancock.  She has also become a very dear friend to me in the past three years. We spent New Years at her house and we were happy to help honor Will's memory by wearing Team Hancock shirts!

as we were lining up to start the race, Kyle noticed the basketball team.
He was in heaven and knew every name!

#200

YES HE DID!  Kyle placed 2nd in his age group!
Way to go!  He got to have his picture taken with former OSU player and current ESPN reporter, Doug Gottlieb.

some random fans...

Running club represents!  at least 4 got a trophy!

Sam and Mez completed the 10k, and got 1st and 2nd for their age!

pictures from my Dad from the course
yes, Kyle is way ahead of his parents!

here we are!

the past week

Reid wanted to wear this to baseball... he didn't.

One joy of my folks selecting our church as their church when they moved up here (they tried several!) is this - LOVE!

Jagger, Bryson and Kyle!

Now this photo just kind of makes me laugh.  This was the decor of our house when we bought it - rose carpet, flowers, shiny wallpaper and all!  It's been a labor of love but we're thrilled with where we have gotten our home so far!

Grant and Chance as captains

Grant's pile of laundry.  Kyle's pile of laundry.
Same five days.

Taken by a friend and sent to me - these two are loving running together at our running club.

Special friends!
