Grant’s Junior Prom

Mr. 6 lb 1 oz Grant Jason Walker had his junior prom this weekend.
Man, what a great dude he has grown up to be!

"Grant, go take off the khaki socks and put on dark gray."
"The belt and shoes are supposed to match each other, and the socks and pants are to match."
"yes, you should wear a white undershirt."
"Hey, we need to cut all of these things on your suit first."
He still needs us!  :)  HA!

Big, blowing Oklahoma winds at 4:45 pm.

Neither Grant nor Emmie wanted red roses so they picked out a blend.

The engineers figured it out!

Pretty darn cute couple.
They're just friends.

All the guys except Henry.

The Meridian guys (Henry is there!). The one in the pink goes to Guthrie but is in class with them.
Keegan, Grant, Henry, Caleb, Zane and Guthrie (!)

I was more interested in the guy pictures than all of the girls on the stairs.
We lost Zane at this point so they could go meet up with their dinner group.

The whole gang. This was at Gabi's house and her parents catered a meal for all of them to eat.
Fortunately, for my sake, he was there when all of the sirens went off and not at a restaurant or on campus with the huge crowds. It made for more fun and a delayed prom start time.

The Meridian crew, which includes only one girl.

These three and Max Close are probably Grant's closest friends right now.
What a group of goobers and funny, weird, happy, God-loving dudes.

Bunches of parents are in the driveway talking and another mom and I look over and these three are deep in conversation.
They're all dentists and were comparing Covid notes and practice operations and cracking each other up! So, we had to get a DDS picture.

Meal time!

April happenings

"Grant, get off your phone!"
That worked out well - he learned how to solve a rubix cube which is something both Jason and I have wanted to do but never took the time to try.  He is down to around 2:30 and hopes to cut that by a lot more.

Local fly-in at our airport!  This kid was thrilled to see his P51D Mustang.

Kyle is always wrestling Reid.  He doesn't really try with Grant :)

Some Red Dirt baseball!  We had two tournaments so far in Stilly which has been super.

Kyle and his friends are good about coming to support.
Jack, Hunter and Gale

Isn't he the cutest?!

This gem of a picture is actually the "Spring Picture" that came home from the Junior High.  yes, the real one.  This photographer must have been either enamored or annoyed at them asking.
Coleman, Parker and Jackson
(always boys and always different groups with this grade).

JV Gold Juniors
Grant, Nate, Zane and Sam

Just some high schoolers messing around before their games.
Making some team memories!

Winners!

Hunter, Kyle, Parker and Dylan

Reid was asked to be OSU's "Junior Player of the Game" a few weeks ago. So darn cool! He and Jason got to the game a little early and the marketing team snagged him. Reid spent time on the field and talking to the players...

and then got to holler on the microphone!

Reece and Cooper came to sit with us

Reid caught a foul ball!
and then went to Cooper's house for a sleepover - it was Reid's best day in ages!

Palm Sunday - "little" kids waving the palms

Pastor John enjoyed the sidewalk chalk.

Very reluctant to take this photo for me but finally gave in!

3rd-5th graders

Caleb, Grant, Henry and Anna having fun!

"What's this?" you ask. Oh yes, Volleygirls won the season again!

all groomed and happy!

Family time interrupted by the dog!

Special trip to Atwoods for Reid to play with chickies and bunnies, which made me think of Kristy's old hobby, especially when Reid dropped a bunny on the ground!  oops.

Spent a day down in Vanoss and was able to pick up Wayne's old tractor

Happy Easter from us!
