The past month

Jason is in charge of building and grounds at our church.  We ordered these signs a few months ago and so glad they finally came in and were installed.

Reid has seen friends at Isaac's birthday party and he has started attending Klife Klub (how is our baby this big!?!)

Eddie saw his neighbor, Fozzie, and family and obviously decided he wanted to join the fun.  Thanks for the pic, Rachelle.

Grant has been driving.  He is doing pretty good on both the driving part and learning how to work a standard.

Last day at the pool.  They bought swimming caps and then got little kids inside a cap.

Kyle and his fishing friends are starting a new bait company - Rippin' and Lippin'.  They are dividing old lures here and went on the melt them and shape them.  Not sure the marketing plan....

So much school.  Most of my September pictures are school-related.  Reid goes to work with me and sits in an empty office.  Grant and Kyle go one day a week and do their stuff from Fellowship Hall.

Our home office has also become dental office storage for items that don't have room since it is under construction.  It is a wreck all the time, but thankful for the physical room!

This was a day Reid was stressing and wouldn't let me go.

Art project for the week.

New Travis Mathew hats from our cousins!

The most beautiful salad I have seen.  Better in person.

Reid and I went to the drive in movie in Guthrie to see Karate Kid with the Bales while Jason and bros were hiking.

We have a black Jesus painted outside at our church now.  Great article on the process.

Volleyball season wrapped up pretty quickly and uneventfully with the cases of Covid-19 being pretty high here.  Overall, I enjoyed it about 85% of the time.  Great girls and a lot of fun memories.  Plus, they learned and I think they liked me as a coach.

one of the player's moms had these earrings on at a game and I said "those are cute!"
The following week, I was gifted my own pair that she likes to make!

Movement at the office at least weekly now, but not daily.

I fried some okra... yes, please!

Random finds inside the couch cushions.  That is just one couch.

Life appears to be pretty dull right now?!?  We are busy shuffling boys between baseball, cross country, Klife, Wyldlife, youth group, and finally this week, they start back to physical school two days a week.

First 14er

Jason, Grant and Kyle headed out on an adventure over Labor Day weekend. Jason has really wanted to make special memories with the boys, and he has personally wanted to climb a 14er.  So, he took the two boys and headed out on a Friday after work.  They slept in the truck in a friend's driveway in Creede that evening, explored the town in the morning, and headed out early afternoon to hike partially up, camp overnight, summit and return home the next day. They hiked the San Luis peak at 14, 014.

Creede is known for being an old mining town.

Parked and ready to begin!

Just to the right of Kyle's head down the hill is where they ended up camping. Jason said this first part of the hike was the absolute worst and they camped at the first site they found.

They filtered water from the stream and cooked like regular campers - no hotdogs and smores here, folks!

Trying to figure it all out!

Back at the parking area!!!
