80's Prom Murder Mystery party

We were invited to a 80's murder mystery party that took place at Prom!  :)  We had fun finding outfits and accessories for it.

My mom wore (and still has!) these glasses.

Dollar store fingernails!

Our official prom polaroid photo

Uh oh! He's dead.  Principal Steve Ruby and Guidance Counselor Stacy Walker had to outline his body!

Castros and Watkins

The whole group
(we really knew about 12 people)

Old lifegroup buddies, Jason and Brett

and their beautiful dates!

Two of the hostesses - Mindy and Lacy

Let me introduce you to Mc Hammer, aka Chris!

Jason had so much fun that he didn't even stay awake until we made it to our driveway!
This cute picture of Reid ended up on OSU's facebook page promoting Orange Friday!  Can't get much cuter than that, folks!

My husband is so smart.
He really is...
But sometimes life just takes too much out of his brain, and when asked to please put the thumb tack back on the door for the wreath, this is where he places it....

I love my bootcamp class.  I can do this!

Grrrr....

Jason spotted this cake at a restaurant... we thought it was really funny for a 21st birthday!

Our first little kiddo!

We were finally able to use a gift card we won at the elementary school auction and went golfing last weekend. It was so fun - with no kids - and Beth and Matt!

Two Reid stories
(and if you count our friend who is a substitute teacher telling us that he can be wild and crazy then that would make three stories!)

1. Monday morning at 5:42 a.m. I feel this gentle, constant tapping on my shoulder. I groggily roll over expecting someone to tell me they threw up or don't feel well.  NOPE!  It was Reid - he asked "hey, Mom, do you know where my bunny ears are?"  VERY worthy question at the hour of the day...

2.  Same day, just at night - I am trying to get him in bed 30 minutes early last night because of story #1 being awake so early.  An hour after I put him to bed, I hear a loud crash and run up to his room. After seeing all was okay, I sternly ask him to get back in bed and go to sleep and mention the baby monitor will tell me if he's up (which he has actually become so quiet it doesn't do any good for that anymore).  He proceeds to look right at me with his hands on his hips and says (and I quote), "You're a mean Mommy.  That's cheating.  I don't like having a baby monitor."  Yes, he said we were cheating with a monitor in his room.  I made it out of the room before smiling!

homecoming parade victims

These are two sets of pictures of friends of ours affected by the homecoming parade crash.
Keke and Mwembe go to the same school as our kids, and Keke and Grant have been former teammates as well.  This family picture was taken at the location just prior to the crash.  She still had on her helmet which I was told the doctors said saved her life.... thank you, God.  We saw them Friday night and all seem to physically be okay.

This is Kelly.  She's my friend. She is a sorority sister of mine, but older, and we really met while adults in town together. I remember getting her daughter's baby present for her... She was directly hit and has a long road ahead. She's a tough one!

all in a week!

Kristy and I met at halftime!

the house with some of our pumpkins out

I was FORCED (smile!) to try this drink!  A night with Volleygirls is always fun!

Halloween week
Class parties!

some friends hosted a gaggle of fifth grade boys for a Halloween party.  Grant had no more come up to us and said "Can we go? I don't like Halloween because it's spooky" when Edwin pulled his name out of the bucket to do the Fear Factor game!  He put on his brave face!

Trick-or-Treating

Last baseball tournament of 2015!!
Reid did a great job for about six hours of entertaining himself in the mud and dirt with cars.

We concluded with some dinner with the Wolfes!

Kyle's team also finished up this weekend with a round robin soccer tournament.  They ended up winning the bronze match - good job!
