Walkers and NYE

I love when my kids aren't trying to act cool and are just themselves - like Grant coming to sit on the couch while I was watching White Christmas, and then me catching him several times smiling!  He loved the part he saw.

Since I was out with Covid on the 25th, we postponed Walker Christmas to the 31st and had lunch at our house.  Everyone came and we had a nice time.

Jason and Uncle Wayne. These guys have grown closer the past few years and I'm thankful they have each other. Jason was surprised Wayne had him in height by a few inches!

The fam!

We went three different directions for NYE parties this year so I did snap this before they all went their way.  Kyle's friend owns a party location in town and her parents had 30ish kids out there.  Reid went with the Lawsons, and Grant had 16 friends over for 6 hours (and then 4 boys spent the night!)

4's... I don't know.

Caleb, Max and Keegan

Most of the group!

This is how we spent the night - periodically making appearances and walking through all of the Juniors, but mostly reading our books on the bed!  This is our 22nd NYE together!

Eddie was just flat out tired of people being here all day long.  He was found a few times snuggled up on our bed and completely asleep.

Reid got home about 11 and joined us!  He read the comics before grabbing some sparkling grape juice and celebrating at midnight!

This is my favorite time to go to the land. The boys usually love it, but since Jason and I are workers and like to see progress, 9 times out of 10 when we go, we have a plan to do something - clearing an area, burning, restacking a fire pit, delivering something, etc... On the 26th, we had picture perfect weather and had a great few hours before having to return for basketball.  Mom and Dad even came out there halfway through our time so they could try out Mom's new hammock!

I gave Reid his first truck driving lesson.  Wasn't very good, but wasn't terrible.

They do this every time!  Sleepyheads...

Christmas Eve and Santa came!

I tested positive for Covid and so our Christmas plans changed. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we still had Hall Christmas but outside.  Wes' family decided not to come so they were missed.

On Wednesday night, my four boys went with Mom and Dad to the Civic Center to see Cirque de Soleil show, and my crew raved about how awesome it was!  They just didn't get any pictures.

Grant was Mr. Gifter this year and bought gifts for everyone of us all on his own!  Very thoughtful and sweet.

This was the 3 loads of laundry waiting for me on Christmas Eve while I was stuck in my room.

Ready for Santa with their buffalo plaid!

KYLE asked Santa this year to wrap his gifts instead of just drop them out of his bag. Poor elf had a lot more to do, so Kyle's gifts were all put into one big box. :)

More outdoor time for me!  Reading in the hammock.

Bubble soccer!

Gingerbread house decorating!

Cookies, Play and Santa

GG had us over for our annual Christmas cookies on Saturday.  Yum and fun!

Our children's program did a quick Christmas story during church.  These awesome 5th graders all had special parts. Reid was the narrator, John and Izzy were Mary and Joseph, and Tate and Jesus.

Reid started not feeling well Monday/Tuesday.  Lots of quick naps.

We got out of school early on Tuesday and went to visit Santa before getting Kyle's cast off.

These boys have had a tough semester and as of this picture, it is over!  They're all crashed!
