OSU spring sports!

Our family has now moved on to OSU baseball and golf.
Their seasons both ended wonderfully!

OSU was able to host both the Regional and their first-ever Super Regional for baseball.  Jason bought tickets to both series!

He went with my dad...

We all went... sitting apart...

this is the "required" goofy photo for those taking pictures with young elementary boys.  It's a "must" at all photos sessions!  :)

We cheered loud!

We took home a pop fly!!!!

We sat together!

this is one of my favorite recent photos.  Both truly happy!

The Pokes won the Regional but came up a little short to earn a trip to Omaha.  Better luck next year, Cowboys...

This happened during the last game of the Super Regional.
The man in the middle is one of my dad's best friends from college, who adores "Fred,"  my husband, and they went to the game together.

Then there was OSU golf season!
They played and putted and chipped and drove their golf balls to the National Finals playoff.  It was on a Wednesday in Kansas.  Jason came home from work that day at noon and basically said he was leaving for the day and asked who wanted to go with him.

Kyle agreed in a heartbeat!
The two of them had a great afternoon walking the Prairie Dunes course and cheering on the Pokes.  Once again, they came up ttthhhiiisss close but couldn't pull out the win.  #2 in the nation is pretty great, though!

Jason created a special memory with Kyle that day!

Bedtime cuddles

Kyle and Jason's head coaching team - the Braves - ended up in 2nd place out of 11 teams this year!

woot woot!!!
that's a pretty cute twosome right there.

Summer nights

This is what happens when a rainstorm interrupts baseball practice - the boys scurry to Jason's covered truck bed!
Hudson, Max, Grant, Parker and Nathan

One of our favorite things to do during the summer is go to the local drive in movie theater.  There are only about 2 or 3 movies showing this summer that we declare acceptable for young eyes so we started the summer off with Rio 2!  Jason and Bubba were at the baseball game and GG came with us.

This was my shopping cart at the beginning of last week.
Look how healthy we were!
The clean eating lasted for a solid three days. I cheated on day four, then a lot on day five... but at least I had all of this other stuff mixed in!
I declared the kale disgusting and haven't opened the almond milk yet... at least I am trying!

Aunt Kelly came to watch Grant's baseball game.  She gave us money to go get ice cream and here we are enjoying her gift!  :)  Thanks, AK (don't even know if you read this!).

Derek and Juliane Hough

A fun girls night!
Mom and I went to see Derek and Juliane Hough in concert.
They danced. They sang. They danced some more.

SOOOOO good.  They're just both darling and I love that they're siblings!

We get to see each other a lot but not just us two so it was a great getaway evening.  Doesn't she look like my older sister?  Not a wrinkle (and no treatment for them!) on that face!

I took so many pictures but most were blurry.  They had fun costumes and a great arrangement of entertainment.  My mom was even one person away from Derek (which means I was two people away!) when he came in to the audience and picked the older lady from the row in front of us to dance with him!  He's cute and pretty darn buff.  Juliane is just as cute as can be.

Success!

more snakes

This guy thought he would be welcome in our yard....

....We had other ideas....
