The OSU Student Union hosts a family evening during May/June for residents and students.  Last week, they showed The Lego Movie (for free!).  We decided to let the boys stay up late for the last school night and we went to it with some friends.

Everything is awesome....

Loving pose for two sweet brothers on their last day of school!

Reid and I were able to babysit a neighbor friend on the last day of school.  We took him to library storytime for his first visit there....

We also spent time on our last day together at the Wondertorium.
We love it there and there was NO crowd - excellent!

Grizzle is my runner... neon orange ahead!

He runs a mile like it is nothing.... kinda amazes me!

Reid is THREE!

Mr. Reid turned three over the holiday weekend!  I made a Daniel Tiger cake for him as it's his favorite show (great remake honoring Mister Rogers if you have no clue!)

He ate it up!

the big brothers got him a plastic bowling set

Chase got him an orange and black porsche!

Wes and Anne got him a few hot wheels and toys for the sand box

Nana and Papa got him a tball set

GG and Bubba contributed money to go towards the fort Jason will be building one of these days.

Kyle had reached his "screen time" limit earlier today so when I saw him on the computer, I was annoyed and got mad.  I walked to the computer and glanced at the screen to find him searching through pictures of Jesus to find his favorite.

It kinda melted my heart.

This was his favorite because he thought Jesus looks very kind.

Somebody got a big boy haircut!
Could there possibly be any cuter bedhead?!?!
We have a twin bed all ready to go but Reid seems very content in his crib.  Why ruin a great thing "just cuz" when he is contained at night?!?!
I won't!

I had a birthday (thanks, Mom, for the sweet post)!
I had several friends remember and do things to make me feel special - lots of texts and emails so thank you to those who care!
(I purposely made sure my facebook was deactivated to see w/o that reminder - I'd rather have 10 genuine remember than 200 on fb!)

One of those sweet gestures came from Kristy who surprised me with a delicious strawberry pie.

Obviously, Reid found it enjoyable, too.  This is how I found him when I walked in with the big boys after they got off the bus.

My birthday morning was started off with our weekly playgroup meeting at the park.  I even scored a Quench Buds gift card from Rachelle and Melanie!  :)  These boys had a lot of fun playing together.

Grant came home from school and asked if he could wash my car!

We had a lot of playtime in the driveway followed by dinner with my parents and Chase.  We had a few photos taken during it all  :)

JW made dessert for me and even surprised me with a beautiful gold bangle bracelet.  My folks got me a facial, some great jewelry and brownie pan that makes all parts of it "the edge" which is my favorite part.

Then these two decided to make pig noses on the kitchen window.

Jason put the boys to bed for me.
Can you tell the Big XII baseball tournament was on TV, and OSU was beating (and beat!) OU - they took a break from getting ready for bed to sneak a peek at the TV!  :)  All heads peered over the wall of the playroom!

Blessed for 34 great years of life!
Hopefully I am not to my 1/2way mark yet!

Guest blogger!

Stacy always writes about her family so I am posting a guest blog so one day her boys will read this.  KH/GG

From this little girl...who looked just like her daddy and didn't
want to because he was a boy...

To this radiant 17 yr old with a zest for life who strived for perfection
in her grades but didn't take herself too seriously.

To this gorgeous, dynamic, brilliant, talented wife and
mother who lives for our Lord.

And I have had the privilege to watch her grow, learn, develop, and blossom into this really cool adult whom I am so proud to call my daughter and best friend!

"How I thank God for you! Because of you, we have GREAT JOY!"

 HAPPY 34th, Dot.
I love you very much.

Mother's Day and baseball

Daddy's home for lunch!  A little cuddling on the couch.

Mother's Day
I received gorgeous Stargazer lillies and my favorite candy on Sunday from Jason.  The boys each made a little present from school for me.

Grant's was a card and the front had these different flowers with chores he would do for me when I "picked" the flower.

On Mother's Day weekend, Grant was asked to participate in a baseball tournament to be a sub for another team.  They lost all of their games, but he had a nice time.  He and his buddy, Barrett, were the subs.  This was Friday night.

Jason took this picture - this is how Kyle and Reid behaved for him while sitting in the bleachers.  Jason in the bleachers was a first as he's always coaching and these two laying down was a huge first.  :)  I was having a volleyball girls party so I missed this fun.

On Saturday, Barrett and Grant were the team captains on the Saturday game.
(in the blue. Mine has his shirt untucked).

On Mother's Day, it was our last day to play. They wore pink on this day for all of the moms!
cute.
Before we headed off to the games, I asked J to snap a (few) photo of us on the porch.

And, yes, I realize it's crooked - can't fix it by doing anything I know how... oh well!

We're in the stands together!!!  What fun.

This is my baseball buddy mom.  She has four kids, and they're all nearly the same age as ours so we imagine we'll see a lot of each other in the next 16 years of sports!
