First day of school!

Lemonade

At the beginning of summer, we made a to-do list for summer activities.  Although we didn't get to everyone item, we accomplished a lot over the three months.  On the last day of summer, Kyle asked to do a lemonade stand.  The grumpy mom in me thought "heck, no! It's 94 degrees and we don't have traffic on our street" but the cool mom in me actually said "sure, why not?!  Let's do this."

And, alas, here we were 30 minutes later.  His friend, Blake, joined for the first part of the lemonade stand (we were there 2.5 hours).  I ended up running back home for more cups and three more gallons of lemonade by the time the sale was finished.

our neighborhood friends came to support us!

They made $77 and had to reimburse the expenses of cups and lemonade!  Kyle was able to earn enough to buy a pair of Nike shorts that we wouldn't buy!  It was a great experience and really showed the boys the kindness of strangers - as well as how to work hard for your money!

Last weekend, the boys went to Vanoss for a few nights and we had some fun!
We hit the downtown OKC Riversports complex. This is the only picture we took!  It was so much fun - river rafting, bunjee jumping, ropes course, and a zip line that was sold out!

Here's our middle schooler and his locker!

Brother's Day 2016
We had our annual holiday on Saturday.  We had donuts, played tennis, went swimming, ate Subway, checked out the airport, went to the OSU football scrimmage, ate ChickFila, a sleepover and had a great time!

We went to visit Granny yesterday in her new apartment before school starts back!

late July

We have recovered from vacation and are back in to the groove of summer. We had a lot of fun the end of July.  We attended the Vance AFB anniversary air show and despite the blazing hot environment and lack of water, it was super fun.  Jason and Reid probably had the most fun!

This kid loved it all!

Reid and Bubba

still all smiles!

World famous Air Force Thunderbirds!

this is a fun sign that it is summer!
Max drove over to see Grant - I didn't know and came home to this!
Cute. For now. What about when they're 16?!?  :O

Bodey came over. They played so hard that they couldn't wake up!

DDS became carpenter this weekend. He took our scraps and made me a jewelry display for my earrings. We added some pegs for necklaces, too!

He also built some shelves for our office storage unit to be more organized. Nine years of sorting through old records became annoying - now we can tell office apart from Christmas!

this was my childhood dollhouse. Reid found it in storage. Kicking myself for now pulling out earlier for the boys just because they were boys!

 Dad had a birthday!
