announcement man, flowers and more!

Grizzle was able to do the school announcements yesterday.  Of course, I didn't know he was doing them (grrr) but his fantastic teacher sent me these pictures.  He said he talked loud and slowly, and Kyle, in a classroom, said he couldn't hear him.  :)  Each 5th and 4th grader gets the chance to do this if they would like to try!

Miss B decided to try on to some of Reid's basketball clothes when they were here - what cute goobers!  She is pretty girly so this was fun to see her dress sportsy on her own will.

I took these yesterday from our flowerbeds - it's SPRING!!!

Kyle changed his tablet screensaver to a picture of my grandfather.  I was quite surprised when I opened the drawer to get something out, touched that, and his face popped up. I am not even sure where he got this!

Reid's note from his teacher in his lunch on Tuesday.

Reid's most favorite school project all year - he's an astronaut!!!
He wanted this front and center on our refrigerator.

Baseball game superstars!!

So this happened tonight...
Super fun for the boys. We were stopped right at the entrance as we had our tickets scanned. Jason said they were nervous but did a good job (he was on the field with them and I was in the stands).

Grant had to catch three pop fly balls.

running off the field...
Posing with a player!

Kyle's turn!  He had to throw three strikes before he threw four balls.

 Anxiously awaiting his turn!

 Perfect form...

He was kinda happy he threw three strikes in a row!

We had a lot of friends also at this baseball game but they have "reserved" seats.  All the boys ended up with us for quite a par-tay!!!

Cherishing the last few weeks with Chase in town...
(shhh - I even encouraged him to skip class to join us since he is already employed and it was a perfect day! Such a bad influence... ha!)

recent happenings

It's happening - the point of where I am posting pictures and that's about it.
Sorry.
But, better than nothing!

RARE MOMENT!  He (none of them really) has never been one to fall asleep on us often.

Visiting the donut store on the strip one last time before it closed...
it was only our second time so maybe that's why it closed?!?

Cheering on (again) their brothers! These two are buddies.

I may have been a bad girl and taken this while driving BUT HELLO!
It's so beautiful!!!  Love my Oklahoma sunsets!

This is what we did on spring break.... played.

and had family sleepovers...

and went to visit Nana!
I took the boys for a day to see Nana, and we went to Lazer Zone! We had a fun day with her!
Reid has always wanted to ride a train - this counted for a little bit!

Kyle chose racing games. Again, not a shocker!

It was this fella's first time to bowl!

The bowling lanes are all black lights so that's why they look funny!

Snacks with John. Reid announced this day that John was his best friend.

Family dinner at Hideaway

I don't know who he gets this from but he's good at it.

Volleygirl time!
We had a great win and decided to go to Eskimo Joes to celebrate - in sweaty clothes at 9 p.m. Yes, we're old but still can have fun!  I had ice cream while most had an adult beverage or cheese fries. It worked for all of us!

Rivercat baseball... plus...

Rivercat (10U) baseball started this weekend with a few games in Stillwater.
A few of us were too preoccupied playing Barbies and Hot Wheels to notice the game...
Reid and Berklee always end up as playmates. Our friend got her twins and Reid these matching shirts on clearance so they can support their brothers!

Grant's second at-bat of the season:
The pitch and swing....

The rounding of first base....

Nearing second.... and SAFE! That's a double, folks, against an AAA team.
The second team we played today is an AAA team (really good) and we lost. The first team we won 11-2 (they are boys from town who were mixed from our old team and the former Rivercat team from last year - good kids).  So, 1-1 is a good start!

It was an interesting baseball day.  Last year, Grant was catcher 85% of the time. This year, they had him play at 2nd base today. He doesn't really "know" 2nd and has a lot to learn.  Not bad... just different!  :)  He's smaller and doesn't have quite as strong of an arm and that is something we look forward to working on over the next few months as well.

Kyle's basketball team finished up!
Great season for the Flames!

My parents were given a pair of Thunder tickets. My dad took Kyle and he might have had the best night of his life!
he even got a picture taken with Russell Westbrook!  Woot!
(yes, I know it was fake - Kyle tried to fool us!)

Mr. Big got his own UA sweatshirt (on clearance at Walls with matching shorts and pants!). Thinks he is pretty big-time now!  :)

This kid loves the Wondertorium. Loves to play store/kitchen/etc.

Winter reading program - success!

All three read their goal amount of minutes!

project

Climbing Tree with the Bakers
(my parents' old rent house now has a great little family!)

he requested "dress shoes" after school. So we had a date and went shopping.
This kid and his clothes and shoes....

This was a fun flat tire... just a pain.
