First Day and other pics

K's first day of preschool has come and gone! Here are his three teachers - two of whom we had when Grant when thru the program. Yay! He had a fabulous day, and when I asked when I picked him up if he napped, one of his teachers belly-laughed "uh, no, he didn't nap." :)

We have a big kindergartener in our house!!!!! He had a great first day, was very excited to go, and there were no tears shed by anyone. There are 7 kids from his pre-k class in his kindergarten class so that helps! Also, he has grown 2 "bricks" since last year (we take pictures by the school sign) for a fun fact. Jason joined us for dropoff!

Typical event for the boys... driving the golf cart present by some old neighbors. I have to limit Kyle's time in this, usually daily, to 15 minutes so he will actually do physical exercise.

Miss Mary - our Monday morning librarian friend! Just happened to have the camera from the first day of school so I snapped their pic. She has known Kyle since he was 7 months, and has seen him at least 90% of the Mondays since then!

We took one last trip to the zoo last week and enjoyed the Lorikeets actually hopping on us this time around. Grant had no fear.

My brother and sister-in-law moved to the metro area a few weeks ago after both having gotten jobs! We went down to see their new place and have some cake for his birthday.

Vesper

I finally had the James Bond drink from Casino Royale last night, the Vesper. I think it was the Vesper, I am not quite sure because I believe they accidentally put rocket fuel in that neat little glass. I tried to drink it all at once but my body started telling me I was doing something horribly wrong. I just wanted it to go away. I considered taking it to the office to sterilize instruments.

Mighty Mob 2010

We put together our softball team this summer and have had a great time! Our record only includes 2 wins (and we have 2 more games!) but it's been a good learning experience and nice to meet new friends! We played last night and won (in OT) 9-8! Jason likes to keep tabs on the statistics. For last night, I had one hit that resulted in 2 RBIs (I actually got on base!), and then he had 2 runs and 3 RBIs.... so we helped with 7 of the 9 runs. He amazes me that he keeps track so well...
All I think is "hit the ball. Hit the ball. Run. Fast. Don't drop this fly ball. Throw NOW!"

Apparently, I didn't get the memo and mixed up my shorts color
and my shoe color with the rest of the girls!

Way to go, Mob! Looking forward to tonight, and then to going out afterwards! yay!

Jason was busy with male-bonding last night and the rest of us had "family movie night" together. Popcorn + Cars = fun times!

Fire Hydrant!

Need a way to entertain children in the car?!? I would recommend NOT playing this game - it gets old veeerrrryyyy quickly! :)

Rules: Yell "Fire Hydrant" as loud as possible as soon as you see one. Argue with your brother about who spotted it first when you both call it. Simple, right?

Just start playing this game and realize how many fire hydrants there really are around your town! A LOT!!!!
