July and August happenings

Dad turned 70!  He didn't want a big party to celebrate so we just had a family cookout.
Looking good!

Kind of fun for the Vanoss bus to be parked outside of our church!
Aunt Larue and her choir had a patriotic sing-a-long in July. There were 4 members of our church there, too, including the soloist!
This is what a Zoom call interview with the Air Force Academy looks like!
Nice dress shirt, athletic shorts, laptop propped up high, attractive background, and perfect lighting coming from the front  :)

With this interview complete, he has completed everything necessary for his application, including DodMerb physical and optometrist appointments.
It is in God's hands now!
When one of your favorite varsity players comes to help at practice...
A little Theta reunion - we have all found our way back to Stillwater. PC of 97, 98 and 2000.
Kyle went to High Point church camp with Sunnybrook. They spend several nights sleeping in tents with minimal showers. He loved it and a great group of high schoolers went. One day is spent rafting, one in Breckenridge, one in Buena Vista, one hiking a mountain (the only day they had phones so pics below were from that day but from his friends' phones).
On to driver #2! Kyle got his permit on Monday.
Was he excited to drive home?!  :)  so big!
The Girls of Fall
We celebrated Erin's 30 years of working in our office for Dr. Razook and Jason. She's retiring.
Reid spent three nights at church camp with our crew. They had a super time and Reid was finally not homesick on this adventure.
I had a text from our children's minister that Reid had asked all the boys to spend their last little bit of money to get Natalie her favorite candy.
I asked Representative John Talley to come help our teams with bonding and trust activities.  Thanks to him and his FCA volunteers for doing so!
All three boys have their new schedules for this year. School starts in a week from today!
Reid and Kyle are both at new schools.  Reid is having a hard time being ready to be at the middle school but after two visits yesterday, he is comfortable with his locker and routes and I even found a smile on his face at a few times.

It is going by really quickly. The past 3 weeks especially with volleyball every day and camps and finalizing the applications for Grant... it has been a lot. Thank you, God, for the rain last weekend and cooler temperatures for a few days. Our crew was able to rest on Saturday together and it was needed by all of us.
