Happy Thanksgiving 2022! It was our year with the Walker family and we ended up going on a cruise with Nana to Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel. This was the 2nd voyage out of the new port in Galveston for Allure of the Seas.
and a little Zip Line for all five of us
Leaving Galveston - all of us on our balcony taking in the scene
Ice skating show for us! Small rink but great talent.
Midnight balloon drop on the Royal Promenade
This was an excursion for Jason. He wanted to see Mayan ruins and he got his wish! Lots of them.
Back on board, Grant and I took off so he could go rock climb.
Two courses - that's the other one from the one he was climbing on.
a little carousel ride (He did it for me).
Reid was feeling better!
Day two: the island of Roatan. In Honduras.
We were at Turquoise Bay, but it had just rained and it was more green. This excursion was clear bottom kayaking and snorkeling in the world's second largest reef!
Beer in the ocean
Snorkeling as a family. This day was totally different than the previous day. Way more fish but less interesting plant life.
Really pretty water in Cozumel
Catamaran riding in style.
Grant, Kyle and Ruby went back to the ship after the 4-hour excursion but Jason, Reid and I fell into the tourist snare and spent time at the port. We got chips, salsa, queso and quesadillas at Margaritaville and listened to their live music. Good memory.
This was a fake asleep but I did look over before this and he was asleep at the table. It is hard to have the flu and then be quickly better for a couple of full days of sun and fun.
There were six cruise ships visiting this day! eek.
Reid's turn on the carousel
Jason found it very hard to get a picture while we were moving :)
An adults only area of the boat on the front part. Very peaceful.
This sunset looked like a cruise ship to me!
Nighttime minigolf. Grant won the Teen Mini Golf challenge.
The boys' room was right across the hall from us. So glad they had their own space (Reid spent first 4 nights with us while he wasn't 100%). We think they made some great memories.
Gotta love towel animals
I take all of these pictures of the family during the trip... and this was the best one taken of me while ice skating. :(
Middle of ship looking at the back over the boardwalk.
It was the strong dudes again... during the aqua show. Best show ever!
Then we also were able to watch Mamma Mia!
Last sunset
Trying to get a Christmas card photo and it totally failed b/c the wind was terrible up on the top deck.
Waiting for the Anchors Aweigh parade to begin.
