What's a family to do when you plan on camping in the yard only to discover it's the first night of rainfall in a long time?!?  Move the party indoors to the playroom, and let the parents sleep in their bed!  When I took this last night, I laughed at the black and green tennis shoes between their heads - it is Grant's new pair of shoes and they glow in the dark.  So, ta da - it was their new nightlight!

We took a road trip today to Stroud, Oklahoma, to the Rock Cafe.  My parents had heard of it and we wanted to share in the story.  Dawn, the lady pictured below, was at her restaurant several years ago when the people traveling Route 66 creating the movie Cars came traveling through town.  They loved her personal story, and based the character Sally Carrera, on Dawn's real life.  She was just a delightful person, cooked our food, and shared a brief version of the story with us.  Every character in the movie is based on a real person related to Route 66 and the Disney-Pixar family.
