Jerry Dean

Jason's dad's headstone is complete!  Ruby and Misty did a great job selecting it! I think it's perfect.

All About Reid

Jason and I had "that kid" at a school event - the one who everyone was watching and laughing with but so glad it wasn't their child - this was Reid.  The picture doesn't do the gooey mud all over any justice!

he usually does really great at football games - except this day - a wee bit tired!

Fairytale day at school - he was the Big Bad Wolf.
(get it? and the three little pigs!!)

later that day he became Superman and was flown around Hideaway by our favorite waiter!

He's been talking about helping and sharing lately. He brought me this envelope last week. It was full of toys, and he had even found my fun stamps and put it on the front (correct spot, I might add - what a smart boy!).  He thinks it was mailed to kids who need toys. What a sweet heart!

Jason sent me this from a baseball game - he forgot to check Reid's "self dress" abilities and he wound up with his Christmas fuzzy house socks and sandals all day!

We had school conferences last week. Everyone is really smart!  There are a few more behavioral issues the younger the child.  Reid's teacher and us decided to have this smiley face sheet filled out each day so we can know how the day went... Reid got a sad face... I walked in that afternoon to him putting an X on the sad face and coloring in the happy face!  :)  Every day since this one, he has a smiley face!

He went to the Botanical Gardens with my folks after school and they sent me these pictures.

scary Halloween minion!

We have had a nice past week. Kyle and I went on a date; Jason and Grant went on a date.  Kyle wanted to go to Dollar Tree after our meal!  Of all places!  :)

Kyle's baseball is over and Grant has six more days.  Here he is from the mound last weekend.

then at bat!

America's Greatest Homecoming was in full force last week.  Our family went to several of the events, including Hester street painting.  Reid and I even made the Stillwater Newspress!

Kyle's very own Pistol Pete drawing!

with his friend, Rodney.

We drove by the house decorations a little earlier than usual and then headed to a nearby lake for a night of camping.  It's been a year since we've been, and that is too long for our family! We needed a night together and away from the house.  The weather was perfect this year, and we had late sleepers on Saturday!

Smores by the fire!

a new location for us - we liked! Kind of on a peninsula.

We hiked four miles on Friday and two on Saturday before heading to the homecoming game.

America's Greatest Homecoming - it's not a self-given title but one given by a national organization - lots of paperwork and stuff required to be entered.  OSU has earned this title for as many years as I can remember - it's well-deserved and loved by a wonderful community of Cowboys.  The Cowboy world was once again rocked on Saturday as a driver drove her car into the crowd at the morning parade.  Four people were killed and 44 were treated.  At one point, our family knew seven of those, with three having been critical and transported to a critical care facility.

This is a picture of our football team praying before the game and the flag at half mast.

It was a bittersweet and odd game - it felt odd to cheer yet the Cowboys played great!

This is our great principal having brought lunch to Kyle.  He chose pizza hut pizza and lemonade for his special Principal Pal lunch day!

Pistol Pete Partner party

Reid was able to meet #4 tonight!  He was really happy to find the guy that wears "his jersey, too!"

While Reid was off with JW, Kyle and Grant had found some players to join them in a game!  This event went on for a solid 30 minutes.  Reid joined some and then would leave mid-play, much to the dismay of the Cowboys.

I love bike riding!  It's exercise but it always seems to go fast (especially when I'm not hauling a little person behind me). I took this picture for one of my volleyball friends as she keeps saying she'll join up but we've never made it work yet!

Kyle as soccer captain

Stacy, Reid, and Kyle went to a pumpkin farm carnival while Jason and Grant went to baseball practice (I think we had much more fun!)

Ropin' cattle

We actually got lost in the maze. It was huge and tall!

this is the fattest/biggest pig I've ever seen in my life
(that's not saying all that much but he's still huge!)

These two have always had a soft spot in their hearts for animals.  Grant tends to fall closer to me on this one with a little less love and cuddles for them.

The highlight of Kyle's night - the DUNK TANK!
Before

After!

We all went to the pumpkin patch (for Jason) on Saturday morning

this was cute seeing profiles and legs from the backup camera - they were riding like real cowboys on the bed on the truck!

It was so hot... at 67 degrees!

We spent Saturday afternoon/evening/night/Sunday in OKC for a baseball tournament.  It worked our perfectly with our loss that we were able to all be at Jacob's 3rd birthday party.

We needed to stop by Sam's for four items for the office.
Oops.  This happens a lot when we go there... we were overflowing!

We carpool this year with the Aicheles as they are currently sending B to half-day pre-k as well!  Today, we went to the park for a little play time. I turned around and these two were sweetly walking like this!  Good memory for when they're graduating!  :)

Slowly this fall, our temperatures are dropping. We're still hanging in the 80's most days. I love fall - it's my favorite.  The crispness of the morning air when I go on a walk but it's not too chilly. The sunny afternoons perfectly designed for outside play after school.
Enjoy! Take a deep breath! And have fun!
