baseball tournaments

Kyle is playing on the A's in the spring. They decided to do a fall tournament to get their feet wet - they ended up in 2nd place.  He hit a few, was hit by a pitch, and struck out once.

Grant's fall sport is baseball and he's playing on Red Dirt.  He was the first pitcher for their game and then also played 2nd base.  He hits the ball nearly every time, but sometimes gets thrown out at first. He is the lead-off batter, and for the first two games, was the only one who ever scored. I'll follow that by adding they were playing in a 12's division and not 11's. He has been a team leader this year - it's fun to see his development.

How fun is this?!  We've been to a dozen tournaments and never seen this company before now. They go to each team at the beginning of the day and take pictures, then quickly arrange and print these probably 18" by 36" posters to sell, either framed or unframed!  Neat keepsake (no, I did not buy it - just took a photo!).

He slid in to home... next time he'll shut his mouth!  :)  BUT, he was SAFE!

Reid decided to put sunscreen on the top of each hot wheel.  Then cover them with sand... Apparently he doesn't do the shopping to realize sunscreen is $10 a tube!  Whatever keeps him happy though, right?!?
