last baseball - teamwork and World Series

A's baseball has come to an end!
Coach Danny's dad has been sick for a few years with cancer.  He passed away the week before our last tournament.  About half the team was able to attend the service, and the team also bought a tree for his yard in his dad's honor.  After practice on Friday, Carson and his dad, Owen and his dad, and Grant and his parents went to get it planted.  It was so hot!!!  Just happened to be 116 that day!  :)
It took a couple of hours of digging in the hard, compacted clay but she is a beauty!  I was just as sweaty as the boys but didn't get my photo taken with sweaty shirt marks!  Or, should I say, glistening marks (no, definitely sweat!).

We finished a tournament that was cancelled due to bad weather from mid-June. We went in to the last day as the 1st seed.  We went undefeated!  These pictures were from the June portion of the tournament - boys waiting on bad weather!
The team spent the night in a hotel - more memories!

Okay - now on to July - Last team prayer before the game.

Leave it to the Walker kid.... :)  Love it!
