Colorado - Red Dirt

On Friday morning, some of Grant's team who was already in town went to the Broncos Stadium for a tour.
Max, G, TG, and Trent

Sporting a sample championship ring

The rest of us met up with them for a tour of the Coors facility that afternoon!

I could have watched this part with the conveyor belts for at least 30 minutes.

Greg and Toni make everything fun

Three free samples - and they weren't small!!

Group pic!

One of the teammates has an uncle named Eric Chavez.  He had batting practice for the boys, a HR contest and Parents v Kids game - Jason and Grant may have had the most fun of the trip at this time.

Swimming pool time!

We all probably stayed up too late this night playing at the pool and around the hotel!  We had a great game schedule for vacation - 12:00 and 2:00, which allowed for an early team dinner!

Baseball, Day 2
This was a hot one!
That's my dad's hand. That's all I have of GG and Bubba stopping in at Lakewood on their vacation.

He still managed to find an open field and completely cover his shirt design!

Coach Gage

Colorado baseball rules are weird - ALL the games were 1:40 and the final game was 2:15.  That was FOREVER for these kids used to 1:15 or maybe 1:30 time limits.

It was a great showing of baseball for them - they ended up in the championship game and getting 2nd.  Grant-man ended his baseball season hitting just below .500 and OBP at .698!

We had planned to drive all the way home Sunday afternoon/night but after finishing up late at the field, we chose to join in team dinner and then ended up only driving halfway home.
These were the only pictures we had with the medals (coolest ones yet!) because they were late handing them out for the team photos after the game.

The drive home...
The many faces of Reid as he watches a high-stress movie - Turbo!  :) haha

ahhhh....nail biting

oh no! cover up the face!

oh good, it is okay! Smiling

Thankful to our Lord for allowing us safe travels and many great memories this family trip!
